Frequently Asked Questions1. Which Marquee is the right one for me?
This is all dependant on what you will be using the marquee for, your budget, how much space you have available and the lifespan you wish to achieve from the purchase.
The Garden Marquees are great for use in the summer, but are not advisable for use in inclement weather or for commercial purposes. They are a recreational product. The Party Tent Marquees are great for garden or commercial use. They are used widely by caravan and camping clubs, charities, traders, customers who want them for temporary storage etc. The Octagonal Marquee is a very pretty marquee. It is water resistant and has a material covering rather than a plastic covering. Like the Pavilion Party Tent Marquees, this is a recreational product and should not be used in inclement weather or as a commercial structure. The Deluxe Premium PVC Marquee is for those customers that demand a little more from their Party Tent Marquee. It has very large steel tubing in comparison to others available and has PVC coverings as opposed to PE. It is Fire Retardant to BS 7837:1996 and is ideal for commercial use, hiring out or for those discerning customers looking for something of a higher quality.
2. What is the length of the longest bar?
The Pavilion Marquees are made up of bars that slot together where the longest is approximately just over 1M in length or 3' 4" All the other marquees are made up of bars that are just over 2.1M in length or 6' 11"
3. Do the marquees come with everything I need to erect them?
The marquees contain all poles, covers including roof, ends and sides, bungees and joints. The other added extras that you need to consider are the ground bars and tie down kits. These are essential purchases for anchoring down your marquee. see Marquee Accessories.
4. What do the ground bars do?
The ground bars are a set of rails that run around the perimeter of the marquee. They help to stabilise the structure and are essential when placing the marquee on a hard standing area such as concrete or tarmac. This is because the sides can be attached to the ground bars to stop them flapping and also the ground bars act as an anchor point for weights, sand bags etc.
5. What do the tie downs consist of?
The standard tie down kits consist of two 1" ratchet straps and two large stakes. These are essential for anchoring the marquee down on soft ground. They can be run as guys from the corner of the marquee or diagonally on the inside of the marquee, from the eaves bar down to the ground. The supreme tie down kits consist of two heavy duty ratchet straps and two large spiral ground anchors. These are essential for anchoring the marquee down on soft ground. They can be run as guys from the corner of the marquee or diagonally on the inside of the marquee, from the eaves bar down to the ground.
